The Chilton County chapter of the Alabama Arthritis Foundation has set the date for their lunch kick-off.

They are planning to have the event at The First United Methodist Church in Clanton on August 26 from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

“We are very excited about this year’s walk, and we are looking forward to the success of our lunch kick-off,” said Lisa Hemphill, regional director of the Arthritis Foundation, Alabama Chapter.

“We are working on making this kick-off one of our biggest by asking out members to invite as many people as they can.”

The group is now working on finding a caterer and a deejay for the program. Their invitation list has grown from last year, and they are still looking for new members to come out and enjoy food as well as acquire arthritis information and updates from the Arthritis Foundation.

All members who registered for the Arthritis Walk last year will receive an invitation to this year’s event.

The Chilton County Arthritis Walk is set to take place Saturday, October 4 in its annual location at the Chilton Medical Center.
