Two people were aiflifted to UAB Hospital this afternoon after being involved in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 22 west of Highway 191.

Reports indicated that one person was possibly ejected and another was trapped inside the vehicle.

Maplesville police and fire responded to the call, and Isabella Fire Department set up a landing zone for two helicopters in a field near the intersection of HIghway 191 and HIghway 22.

Identities of the victims or their conditions were not immediately available.
