Mr. and Mrs. Tim Farris of Clanton are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Melissa Nichole Farris, to Jacob Abraham Bearden, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Bearden of Jemison.

The wedding will take place at 7 p.m. at Robinson Springs Baptist Church on Oct. 10. A reception will follow at Petals from the Past.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Littleton of Jemison and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Farris of Clanton. Nichole is a 2004 graduate of Thorsby High School and is currently employed at Mutual Savings Credit Union in Birmingham.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Rodger Offet of Alabaster and the late Mr. and Mrs. Allen Bearden of Vestavia. Jake is a 2003 graduate of Jemison High School and is the owner of Jake’s Lawn Service.

Invitations were sent only to out of town guests. All friends and family are invited to attend.
