Adelle Atchison Wright, 87, of Plantersville, passed away April 18 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.

She was born on Nov. 1, 1927, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Homer B. Atchison and the late Mary Smith Atchison.

She was a horticulturalist.

Surviving are her sons, Norman David (Martha) Wright, Jr. of Plantersville, Donald Regan (Kathleen) Wright of Plantersville; grandsons, Norman David (Heather) Wright, III of Plantersville, Brandon M. (Kimberly) Wright of Plantersville; granddaughters, Diane Wright (Larry) Irwin of LaGrange, Ga., Celia Wright (Gary) Bradberry of Plantersville; and great-grandchildren, Abby, Noah, Aubrey, Addison, Logan, Leah, Conner, Bryan and a host of other family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman David Wright, Sr.

Friends were received from 6-8 p.m. April 20, at Martin Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will be held April 21 at 11 a.m. at Plantersville Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Stephens and the Rev. Mike Golson officiating.

Interment will follow in Plantersville Christian Cemetery in Plantersville.
