Kenneth Randall McRae, 85, of Thorsby, passed away Dec. 7 at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham.

He was born July 18, 1929, in Detroit, Mich., the son of the late Bayliss M. McRae and the late Lucy Stewart McRae.

He was in environmental health for Jefferson County.

Surviving are his wife, Ramona Faye McRae of Thorsby; sister, Dorothy M. Causey of Thorsby; brother, Don McRae (Barbara) of Thorsby, nephews, Wayne Causey, Bruce Causey, Chris Causey, Keith McRae, Kyle McRae; niece, Kelly M. McRae.

He was preceded in death by his son, Richard McRae.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. Dec. 11 at Thorsby First Baptist Church.

Services will be held Dec. 11 at 11 a.m. at Thorsby First Baptist Church with the Rev. Marc Hodges officiating.

Interment will follow in Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Baptist Children’s Home of Alabama.
