Vera Irene DeVaughn, 90, of Clanton, passed away April 4.

She was born on Oct. 14, 1923, in Missouri, the daughter of the late Jacob Charles Gatschet and the late Rose Amanda Fischer Gatschet.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Rose Hayes Hess (Jerry), Patsy Lorene Hayes Sellers (Bill), Amelia DeVaughn Bishop (Buster); two granddaughters; one grandson; one great-grandson; brothers, Jacob Charles Gatschet Jr., James Gatschet; sisters, Laura Coffman, Virginia Martin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Hayes; husband, Joseph Leonard DeVaughn; parents, Jacob and Rose Gatschet; brothers, Fred and Lee Gatschet and sister, Della M. Liams.

Friends will be received from 1-3 p.m. April 14 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held April 14 at 3 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Daniel Wilson officiating.

The family requests no flowers but donations be made to West End Baptist Building Fund.
