Michael (Mike) Baines Robertson, 72, of Clanton, passed away on Feb. 28.

He was born on May 5, 1941, in Alabama, the son of the late Glenn Morris Robertson and the late Sarah Baines Robertson.

He was a sales manager for an international company for 34 years before retiring to Chilton County where he was director of the Chilton County Chamber of Commerce.

He honorably served his country in the Alabama National Guard and the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1965.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Robertson; son, Glenn R. Robertson; step-son, Ben Reddoch; brother, Bill Robertson; sister, Glenda R. Bearden.

Memorial services will be held March 8 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Clanton with the Rev. Matt DeBord officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Michael Robertson Scholarship Fund at LeCroy Career Tech Center. A designated account is in effect and will benefit students who wish to attend the school and cannot afford tuition.

Checks should be made to the Chilton Chamber of Commerce with a notation to the scholarship fund.
