Jeremy Richard “J.J.” Brasher, 33, of Jemison, passed away on Sept. 29.

He was born in Shelby County on Nov. 22, 1979, the son of John Richard Brasher and Wanda Faye Murray Brasher.

He was a skidder operator in the logwoods.

He is survived by his son, Ryder Brasher of Gadsden; daughter, Brianna Brasher of Gadsden; daughter, Maddie Miller of Gadsden; father, Richard Brasher of Jacksonville; mother, Wanda Brasher of Jacksonville; sister, Rachel Varden (Ryan) of Jemison; niece, Ava Varden of Jemison; fiancé, Monica Reavis of Jemison and step-daughter, Presley Perry of Jemison.

Visitation will be held on Oct. 2 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Oct. 3 at 1 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. Buddy Moates officiating.

Burial will follow in the Brasher Family Cemetery in Shelby.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home of Clanton.
