Mary Ruth Lowery, 75, of Jemison, passed away on Aug. 23 at her residence.

She was born on June 6, 1938 in Alabama, the daughter of the late Wilbert B. Maddox and the late Melvie Childress Maddox.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, James Lowery of Jemison; Greg Robinson of Jemison and Barry Robison of Jemison; sister, Louise Franklin of Birmingham; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Friends were received from 1:30-3 p.m. on Aug. 25 at Pates Chapel Baptist Church.

Services were held on Aug. 25 at 3 p.m. at Pates Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Jones and the Rev. Randal Mims officiating.

Interment will follow in Pates Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Jemison.
