Curtis Edgar Meank, 88, of Clanton, passed away on July 4 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born on Friday, Sept. 26, 1924 in Chilton County, the son of the late Edgar Oliver Meank and the late Evie Ellison Meank.

He was a retired propane gas truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Grace T. Meank of Clanton; son, Carey (Nancy) Meank of Verbena; daughter, Janice (Bubba) Meank of Clanton; grandson, Casey (Beth) Meank of Clanton; granddaughter, Krisi McAndrews (Monte) of Huntsville; brother, Rev. J.T. Meank of Clanton; sister, Pauline Harris (Ray) of Clanton; two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Evie Meank; daughter, Kay Blanton; grandson, Rodney Meank and sisters, Olene Jones, Pearlene Burnette and Lorene Johnson.

Friends will be received from 2-3 p.m. on July 6 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held on July 6 at 3 p.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Messer and Ollie Clyde Jones officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
