Shiloh Baptist Church

Jan. 6 was an exciting morning at Shiloh. We want to thank our special guest speaker, Jamie Coulter. He was quite the inspiration as he brought the message from Romans 1:17-19.

We live in a time of excuses. There are all kinds of excuses for not going to church. People think they have to clean up their act and straighten out their lives before they can come to church, but the first step is to come to church. Give your life to God, and he will take care of the rest. Jesus died on the cross for our sins.

Services started this Sunday with Bro. Kenneth Moates leading the church in the following hymns: “Come Unto Me,” “New Name in Glory,” “Where the Soul Never Dies” and “I Want to Know More About My Lord.”

We had a special prayer with many people from our church, and we didn’t get to have Sunday school because the service was so good. We are glad we are never bound by a scheduled worship; we just say, “Lord have your way.”

Bro. Tim Scott and his wife were with us this Sunday. Bro. Tim preached from Luke 21:28: No matter what’s happening in your life just look to God because he is able.

Sunday night’s service began with Bro. Ricky Cleckler leading the church in the hymns “Jesus is Coming Soon,” “Living by Faith” and “Heaven’s Jubilee.”

Bro. Wayne Barnett gave a devotion from Joshua 22:5: People will say they’re a Christian, but are their hearts full of God?

Bro. Roger Cleckler sang “Too Much to Gain to Lose,” and blessed the church with a wonderful song.

Bro. Tim preached from Revelation 7:14: God’s house is supposed to be a place where we can get connected with God. God is a God of atonement, cleansing and liberation. Do you know him?

Our services are Sundays at 9:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Hope to see you there!
