James Micheal (Mike) Scarbrough, age 58 formerly of Clanton, passed away on Oct. 5, 2012 at UAB Trauma Center in Birmingham.

He was born in Clanton on May 23, 1954, the son of the late Edward Scarbrough and Geraldine Wyatt West.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and spent most of his life working in the photo and construction industries.

He is survived by: son, Christopher Scarbrough; grandsons, Nathan and Jason Scarbrough; brother, Ray (Sid) Scarbrough; brother, Garry (Sue) Scarbrough; stepmother, Lou Scarbrough; stepbrother, Tommy Lee Hunt; and stepsisters, Yvonne (Greg) Price and Tara (Ron) Jewel.

He is preceded in death by his father, mother and brother, Ricky Scarbrough.

A memorial service will be held on Friday Oct. 19, at 7 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Final arrangements have been entrusted to Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home of Clanton.
