The annual Chilton County Senior Baseball Showcase sponsored by the Clanton Lions Club took center stage on May 10 at Jack Hayes Field in downtown Clanton. All senior baseball players from the six high schools in Chilton County were represented during the game as they took the diamond for their respective schools for the final time.The teams were split up before the game, and it allowed teammates to compete against each other in the final time the athletes would put on their high school jerseys.
The 2023 Chilton County Peach Queens — Miss Peach Chloe Street, Junior Miss Peach Anna Lewellen, Young Miss Peach Nora Kayte Camarillo and Little Miss Peach Aubrie Roberts, threw out the first pitch to get the game started, and Street brought the crowd to its feet with her rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner.
