Leadership Chilton visits the State Capitol, Gov. Ivey

Leadership Chilton presented by the Chilton County Extension Office visited the State Capitol in Montgomery for its sixth session. The group met with legislators, justices, judges and other staffers during the trip including District 42nd Rep. Van Smith, Sen. Clyde Chambliss, Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, assistant Agriculture Commissioner Bob Plaster and lobbyists Preston Roberts and Brian Hardin who spoke about their involvement in the Alabama Farmers Federation.

Leadership Chilton was treated to a tour of the Capitol building by Mary Kate Hillis before being joined for lunch by the Alabama Supreme Court and Criminal and Civil Appeal judges. The group ended its time in Montgomery with a tour of the Alabama Department of Archives and History.
