The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles held parole hearings on Feb. 22 and 27, and two involved Chilton County offenders.

On Feb. 22, Martinez Erick Andrey Luna was granted parole by the board with a special condition to detainer, which means an inmate is held in custody by one agency for another agency. No one spoke in favor or against Luna receiving or being denied parole.

Luna is serving a seven-year sentence for Escape II after being sentenced on July 27, 2023. He has served one year and 17 days of his sentence prior to the detainer being granted.

On Feb. 27, Marc Wayne Holliday was denied parole by the board with no reset date, and no one spoke in favor or against parole being granted or denied. Holiday is current serving concurrent sentences for Sexual Abuse I, a 10-year sentence, and Sodomy II, a 20-year sentence. Holiday was sentenced on November 13, 2007, and has served 17 years, two months and 27 days of his time.
