Many of the Christmas activities across Chilton County planned for the first weekend of December were postponed due to the threat of inclement weather.

The Clanton Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting was postponed from Dec. 1 to Dec. 8 with the parade beginning at 5 p.m., and the tree lighting following at 7 p.m.

Both the Jemison and Thorsby Christmas Parades scheduled for Dec. 2 were postponed to Dec. 9, starting with Thorsby’s at 9 a.m. and Jemison’s at 11 a.m.

The town of Maplesville’s Old Fashioned Christmas scheduled for Dec. 3 was postponed as well to Dec. 10 from 2:30-5:30 p.m.

All of the changes to Christmas activities were also made in the community calendar on page six.
