Beauregard High School took down Jemison High School on the Panthers’ senior night 41-14 on Oct. 28.

Panthers’ quarterback Luke Gann tossed two touchdowns in the game while going 18-for-23 passing for 176 yards. Kintre Jackson caught a first touchdown pass and grabbed five catches for 92 yards in the game. Jackson accounted for 115 of the 225 total yards Jemison posted.

A.J. Ford was the beneficiary of Gann’s second touchdown toss.

“I like that I have seen some of our kids compete and not worry about what is in the win-loss column, but go out and give their very best,” Jemison head coach John Therrell said. “That really speaks of who you are as a person, and who you are as a player to be able to do that, because it is a tough thing to do in our current situation. I am proud we have kids who want to go out and perform their very best no matter the circumstances.”

DaVion Slaughter led the Jemison defense with nine tackles, followed by Blake Calloway and Chaz Melton with seven tackles each. Damian Stafford added a sack to the defense’s totals.

Jemison (1-8) visits Elmore County High School on Nov. 3 for its final game of the 2023 season.
