Isabella High School was dropped 47-13 at home on Oct. 6 to region rival B.B. Comer High School.

After Comer scored on their first possession of the game to go up 6-0, the Mustangs responded right back with a rushing touchdown of their own and the extra point put them on top 7-6 with three minutes left in the opening quarter.

The rest of the first half was all Comer adding two more scores to lead 21-7 at halftime, and the No. 1 ranked team in AHSAA Class 2A football carried over the momentum into the second half. Comer outscored Isabella 20-0 in the third quarter to push the advantage to 41-7 and the game out of reach.

The Mustangs added a touchdown toss in the fourth quarter to bring the game to its final tally.

The Mustangs (4-2) are now 2-2 in AHSAA Class 2A Region 4 play with three region games left on their schedule. Isabella is back in action on Oct. 13 looking to get back on track hosting Ranburne High School for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
