Chilton County’s Got Talent was held for the first time this year throughout the Peach Week festivities and the week’s leading up to it. The City of Clanton Arts Council presented the talent show.

Auditions were held on April 29 and May 6 at Senior Connection and the competition was open to anyone with a unique talent or skill.

Registration brought in singers, dancers, spoken word, comedians and even fire throwers to try their hand at earning the $250 prize. The event featured an adult, youth and group division with $250 up for grabs in each one.

Nine acts were chosen from the auditions to compete on stage at Clanton Corner Park during all three nights of the Peach City Fest on June 2, 9 and 16. From there, finalists in each division were named, and they faced off at 3 p.m. on June 24 at the Peach Jam Jubilee on the main stage.

The winners of the first ever Chilton County’s Got Talent:

Adult Division Winner: Emilee Hayes

Youth Division Winner: Evan Owens

Group Division: Impact Martial Arts
