The 2023 edition of the Peach Jam Jubilee is now officially the biggest ever in the event’s history. Executive director of the Chilton County Chamber of Commerce Rachel Martin said nearly 40,000 people attended peach activities during the week of the 2023 Peach Festival. Those activities included the peach parade, auction, Peach City Fest, and the biggest attraction, the Peach Jam Jubilee.

“It was absolutely the biggest one yet, and that is double and triple the numbers that we have had before,” Martin said. “I remember when I first started with the Chamber I think we were at around 5,000 (people), and at its peak 9,000, and we were so excited to get 100 vendors. This time we had over 300 vendors. It has definitely grown.”

It took about two full days to get everything set up and in place for the jubilee this year. Martin said planning for the event takes all year. Each year it is over, Martin and her team go right back to work planning the event for next year.

In the end, the work is worth it for Martin and the Chilton Chamber.

“Getting everyone out and working together I just love, and the partnership we have with the city, county, sponsors and business owners uplifts each other,” Martin said. “Everyone just comes together and works so hard to make this a success, and that really is my favorite part. Seeing these relationships grow to where everyone wants to help each other, they want to see it grow and see the success of it.”
