Hawkins holds second annual car show in West End

The second annual Michawk’s Car Show took place on July 1 at West End Park in Clanton. The turnout surpassed last year’s total, and Michael Hawkins put on the car show that featured vendors, entertainment and singing.

“It was a very good turnout,” Hawkins said. “A lot of people came in from out of town to participate in the activities … It was a lot of fun.”

Trophies were handed out at the show as well, a first and second place, for the car with the best audio, rims and paint job and light show. Best in show cars were also crowned at the event.

“There were a lot of trophies given away,” Hawkins said. “We had nice Corvettes, nice Camaros. I really appreciate the turn out we had for it.”
