The 19th annual Peach Run brought in over 100 runners to Clanton and to Cornerstone Fitness & Wellness to participate on June 17. The runners and supporters gathered around the starting line as early as 6 a.m. on the day of the run.

The traditional 5K, 10K and fun run races were held along with a new one-mile race that was introduced this year. The course began at the Cornerstone parking lot and exited left down Lay Dam Road and into downtown Clanton. The course reversed back down Lay Dam Road and back to the Cornerstone parking lot to finish.

Jason Mayfield of Chelsea was the male 10K overall winner with a time of 37:36, a 6:03 per mile pace. Naomi Sullivan of Tallassee was the female 10K overall winner with a time of 45:13, a 7:16 per mile pace.

In the 5K race, Alec Beers of Birmingham was the overall male winner with a time of 17:18, a 5:34 per mile pace. Fellow Birmingham native Brittany Chambers was the female overall winner with a time of 22:20, a 7:11 per mile pace.

Hank Roberts, age 14 from Clanton, recorded the fastest time in the one-mile run with a 7:08.
