MONTGOMERY POST – A vehicle-pursuit that occurred at approximately 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, has resulted in a traffic crash and an arrest. Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division attempted to stop a Kia Sorento for a traffic violation on Interstate 65 near the 208 mile marker in Chilton County. The driver eluded Troopers and a pursuit ensued until the 173 mile marker, where the Sorento crashed and the pursuit ended. The driver has been transported to a local hospital for medical treatment but is facing multiple criminal charges.

Deputies with the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the pursuit and arrest. ALEA Troopers will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
