July brought loads of fun at the library! From Legos and board games with the family to movie afternoons, coloring contests, and a book giveaway. The library staff enjoyed every moment with you. We ended the month with a birthday celebration for Harry Potter. Special thanks to Oh Taste and See Bakery for donating mini cupcakes for Harry Potter’s birthday party. It made the day even sweeter!

The Chilton-Clanton Public Library also purchased several large print books for our community thanks to the generous donation from the Clanton Lions Club. We know that our patrons will enjoy this new collection to the library.

The library staff would like to congratulate all the participants of the July Children’s Coloring Contest. The winners of the contest are as follows: Levi Cofer (age group 4-5): Ryleigh Cofer (age group 6-7), and Grayson Chaney (age group 8 and up). The winners will receive a $15 gift card to Walmart.

Be sure to join us every Thursday in August from 4-5:30 p.m. for Family Games in our conference room. We will have a wide variety of board games for your enjoyment. Also, the library will have a coloring contest for adults Aug. 1 thru Aug. 31. The grand prize is a 30-minute massage at Tilly’s and second place prize is chess squares from Oh Taste and See Bakery. Pick up your coloring sheet at the circulation desk to enter to win the contest. Also, movies at the library continues Aug. 12 from 2-3:30 p.m. and on Aug. 26 from 2-3:30 p.m. We will have popcorn and drinks so stop by with a friend or the family. We hope to see you there!

Last but not least, we have a scavenger hunt for the kids this month. See if you can find all the members of the Paw Patrol team in the library. Find them all and receive your prize at the circulation desk. Good luck!
