The Peach Pageant stage is familiar territory for Lexie Deavers of Thorsby having won Little Miss and Young Miss titles in the past.

On June 21, she added a third title to this list when she became the 2022 Junior Miss Peach.

“I am so shocked and so excited that I get this opportunity once again and to serve my community again,” Lexie Deavers said.

She said she is looking forward to getting to know the other queens.

“I prayed about it a lot, and I knew that if it was the Lord’s plan for me to win, then that’s perfect, but if it’s not, it’s fine, and it wasn’t meant to be,” Deavers said.

After the offstage interview portion of the competition, Deavers said she “came out feeling really good about it — the best I have ever felt coming out of an interview.”

“I was completely Lexie and that was how I wanted it to be,” she said. “I worked really hard, and it’s all worth it.”

Deavers was also the casual wear winner.

During her farewell speech 2021 Junior Miss Peach Cresley Haggard encouraged the next queen to pay attention and enjoy every moment “because when it is over, you will want to go back and take it all in a little bit more.”

She reminded the next queen that they will have numerous girls in the community looking up to them.

“Be a good role model and smile big,” Haggard said.

Leelah Penley was first alternate. Cambree Crumpton was second alternate. Third alternate was Kayleigh Payton.

Fourth alternate Sarah King was chosen for Miss Congeniality.
