The Chilton Auburn Club is ready for football.
In preparation for another season of Auburn Tigers football, the club will be hosting its annual kickoff event on Aug. 10 at 6:30 p.m. The event will take place at 6th Street Warehouse in Clanton.
This is the first time that the Chilton Auburn Club will be gathering since its Beat Bama party in November 2019. The kickoff event was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19.
“We’re excited, we’re ready,” said Chilton Auburn Club president Barbara Bates said. “I think everyone is ready to get out and get things started and start playing football.”
Andy Burcham, the voice of the Auburn Tigers, aka the university’s football broadcaster, will be a guest speaker at the event. All incoming freshman who will be attending Auburn after graduating from a Chilton County school will be recognized as well.
The event is open to the public, and everyone is invited to bring their favorite tailgate food.
“We would love all Auburn fans to come and celebrate the starting of the season with us,” Bates said.
