MONTGOMERY POST – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:50 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, and has claimed the life of an Elba man.

Michael Edward Latham, 51, was fatally injured when the 2019 Kenworth tractor-trailer he was driving left roadway and overturned. Latham was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on U.S. 82 at the 98 mile marker, approximately six miles northwest of Maplesville, in Chilton County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
