From Girl Scout Troop 337
Girl Scout Troop 337 has constructed a Flag Retirement Box the community.
“We began working on the box last year and have finally been able to complete it, leader Amy Jolley said. “Many hours have been put into building this box. It was a huge labor of love. We are so honored to have been able to construct this box for our community and be able to offer a place for everyone to donate their precious flags!”
She thanked all the Girls Scouts, moms, and dads for working many, many hours on this box to get it ready.
“We would like to thank the City of Clanton and the Clanton City Council for allowing us to place the box at the Clanton Fire Department,” Jolley said. “A big thank you to the YMCA of Chilton County for donating all of the paint for our box. A big thank you to C & C Trophy, for our sign to go on the front of our box.”
Anytime you have an old, worn tattered flag please bring it by and place it in the box. Girl Scout Troop 337 will retire it correctly.
