From Girl Scout Troop 337
Girl Scout Troop 337 will be participating in National Girl Scout week March 5-12.
The troop has many things planned.
They will begin the week on Friday, March 5, with a GLOW Birthday Party celebrating Girl Scouts’ 108th birthday, which is actually on March 12.
On Saturday, March 6, they will host a Drive Thru Cookie Booth from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in front of Willow 31 in Clanton. Also, that day they will place their Flag Retirement Box, that they have been working on, in front of the Clanton Fire Department. They will also donate cookies to some of our Hometown Heroes, our firemen. More details will be available soon.
Girl Scout Sunday is Sunday, March 7. The troop would like to thank Clanton Church of Christ for allowing us to hold our meetings there.
The Girl Scouts are also hosting a Girl Scout Flavor Fest. Several of the local food establishments will be serving Girl Scout themed items. Much A Brew About Something (Clanton) will be featuring a Thin Lizzie Frappe,’ GeMa’s Cupcakes (Clanton) will be serving Girl Scout Cookie themed cupcakes and Dixie Sweets (through Facebook page) is making Girl Scout Cookie cakes. Please visit these establishments and enjoy some tasty treats.
The troop would also like to thank all of their friends, family, and our community for supporting them each year during cookie season and throughout the year!
