Maplesville holding Treats on Main
By JOYANNA LOVE/ Managing Editor
A tradition of the last few years for Maplesville will continue this year as Treats on Main is scheduled for 4-6 p.m. on Oct. 31.
Main Street will be closed from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for the safety of those setting up, and families enjoying the event.
To help in following social distancing guidelines, Town Clerk Dawn Smitherman said children must be accompanied by an adult, and masks are required.
The event gives community members the opportunity to hand out candy, while allowing children to receive treats in a safer environment than walking on the side of the road from house to house. No registration required. Costumes encouraged.
This will be the fourth year for the event.
