The Chilton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a homicide on Sept. 5 at around 3 p.m. in Marbury.
Sheriff John Shearon said the department responded to a shooting on County Road 534. The person who had been shot died at the scene.
He described the case as a domestic incident in which the shot fired was likely in self-defense.
Because of the nature of the case, names are not being released by CCSO at this time.
Shearon said the case will be a direct present to the Grand Jury when it meets in January.
