Master plan unveiling set for July 29
The Chilton County Industrial Development Authority will reveal its master plan for the Exit 212 corridor in Clanton July 29 at 5 p.m.
The announcement will be broadcast live on the Chilton County Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
Laying out the master plan is the vital next step in the implementation and direction of Chilton County’s future goals.
According to IDA Executive Director Whitney Barlow, the presentation will be the result of the IDA working closely with Chambless King Architects for the past year to devise a master plan based on studies and research gathered.
Part of the process of formulating the master plan was gathering feedback from residents, which included holding several community meetings during that time.
The presentation is expected to lay out the future plan and objectives for not just the Alabama Farm Center at ALFA Centennial Park but also the area surrounding it.
What direction that may be will be further explained as part of the presentation.
