An accident involving a pedestrian and a semi on Highway 31 on July 9 resulted in a fatality.

Carl Wilson, age 77, from Clanton died after walking into traffic.

According to Capt. David Clackley of the Clanton Police Department, the accident occurred around 4 a.m.

“The driver was not at fault,” Clackley said.

Clackley said Wilson had been known to walk in the area at night.
