Republican Runoff election for senator is July 14

The Republican primary runoff vote for United States Senator will be held on July 14.

This election had originally been scheduled in March but was rescheduled because of the pandemic.

Jeff Sessions and Tommy Tuberville are on the ballot.

Locally during the primary vote on March 3, Tuberville received 4,544 votes and Jeff Sessions received 1,883 votes. However, in the statewide vote, neither candidate received the needed 50% plus 1 votes.

Also on the ballot will be Court of Criminal Appeals Judge, Place No. 2. The candidates are Beth Kellum and Will Smith.
