Two dead in interstate crash

A two vehicle accident on Interstate 65 near mile marker 211 resulted in two deaths on March 11.
Jarrod Patterson, 46, of Vestavia Hills and Sharilyn Scheller, 57, of Indiana died in the crash, according to Capt. David Clackley of the Clanton Police Department.
At around 11:30 p.m., Patterson’s vehicle was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of the interstate.
There were two passengers in Scheller’s vehicle. One of which was in critical condition, according to Clackley.
Names were not released to local media until family members of the deceased had been notified.
CPD is still investigating the incident.
