Dorothy Nell (Barrett) Lambert, 83, of Clanton, passed away peacefully at her residence on January 1st, 2020.

She was born on Wednesday, September 23rd, 1936, in Autauga County, Billingsley, Alabama. She was the only child of the late Harvey Carlton (Jack) Barrett and the late Vera Cox Barrett.

She was for most of her life a Homemaker, but had worked on her parents’ farm, at Clanton Motors back in her younger days as a bookkeeper at Camptown Togs and at Keystone.

She was a wonderful Wife, Mama, and Granny.

She met the most important man of her life Sam Lambert when he was stationed at Craig AFB in Selma and they were married December 10, 1955 (62 years strong until he passed).

Surviving is her Daughter, Karen LeCroy of Clanton, AL; Granddaughters, Ashley (Adam) Woods of Clanton, AL, Amber LeCroy of Huntsville, AL, Jennifer Liveoak of Clanton, AL, Cherie (Bobby) Windham of Clanton, AL; Grandson, Michiel S. Holcombe, Jr. of Clanton, AL; Great-Grandchildren; Keith Holcombe of Jemison, AL, Mackenzie Liveoak of Clanton, AL, Ethan Liveoak of Clanton, AL, and Draven Windham of Clanton, AL; Special Extended Family, Christy Holcombe of Jemison, AL, Patricia Northcutt of Jemison, AL, Ann Thibodeaux of Clanton, AL and Jason Liveoak of Clanton, AL.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Samuel Edwin Lambert of Clanton, AL, Daughter, Teresa Ann (Lambert) Holcombe of Clanton, AL, Parents, Harvey Carlton (Jack) Barrett and Vera Cox Barrett of Clanton, AL.

Graveside service will be on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at 11 a.m. from Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton, AL with Rev. Bobby Hopper officiating.
