Senior Connection in Clanton will be hosting an appreciation luncheon for area home health physical therapists Aug. 6 at noon.

According to director Vanessa McKinney, the event provides a way for Senior Connection to honor those who work to help seniors get back on their feet after an injury or surgery.

“We want all the physical therapists to know how much we appreciate what they do,” McKinney said.

It will also provide an opportunity for home health physical therapists to visit Senior Connection and see what amenities the facility has to aid members in their continued recovery after official visits cease.

This includes things like the walking track and exercise equipment.

“A lot of them haven’t been in before,” McKinney said.

She said she expects around 15-20 physical therapists to attend.

“Hopefully we’ll have a good crowd,” McKinney said.

Senior Connection is located at 304 Park Plaza.
