En Fuego has partnered with Kissel Entertainment to hold a carnival and raise funds for this year’s music festival.

“I was excited they reached out to us,” En Fuego board member Jimmie Hardee said. “They are a local company right here in Chiton County.”

Hardee said the company wanted to partner as a way to give back to the community.

A portion of the proceeds will go toward the $150,000 the board raises each year to ensure En Fuego is a free event.

“We have to raise every dime of it,” Hardee said.

He said many in the community have given and supported the festival over the years.

The fundraiser carnival will be held Feb. 13-23 at Goose Pond Park starting at 5 p.m. each night. When the carnival closes each night will depend on attendance.

Parking and admission will be free.  Thrill rides, skill games and food will be available.

Armbands for rides will be $15 each night.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, the carnival is having a buy-one-get-one special to encourage couples to come out and have a night of fun to support a good cause.

En Fuego is a free concert hosted in Verbena in August on an annual basis, featuring some of the top contemporary Christian artists. Last year’s event featured Skillet, Sidewalk Prophets, Rhett Walker Band and others.
