Demolition of the Town of Thorsby’s old school building will begin Feb. 18.

Thorsby Mayor Robert Hight informed the Council of the demolition date during a meeting on Feb. 4.

Thorsby Fire Chief James Conner informed the Council that the final details are being worked out for the creation of the county arson task force.

According to Conner, he expects the task force to be up and running by March.

The Council also approved to pay the bills and transfer of the funds.
