Madison Sanders won her first golf tournament at the college level at the Don Morris Invitational hosted by Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, on Oct. 15 and 16.

Sanders graduated from Chilton County High School, and she is in her junior year with the Shorter University Hawks.

She finished atop the 36-player field after shooting a score of 75 in the first round and posting a 73 in the second round.

Shooting 4-over was good enough to win the two-day event by three strokes, and she was one of just four players to finish in single-digits over par.

Her individual victory also helped the Hawks win the team portion of the event by nine strokes, their first of the season as well.

Shorter captured its second-consecutive victory at the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational in Rome, Georgia, on Oct. 22 and 23.

Sanders followed up her win by shooting 12-over and finishing tied for eighth in the event. She also has an additional top-five finish earlier in the season.
