The Chilton County Relay For Life will celebrate the fundraising of the Men In Pink at the Pink Tie Affair celebration on Nov. 8 in the Jemison Auditorium adjacent to Jemison City Hall.

Carla D’Andrea of the American Cancer Society said the top fundraiser in the campaign would be recognized and all of the participants’ work will be celebrated.

“It is really recognizing all their efforts,” D’Andrea said.

The event will also feature a three-course meal, catered by Neighborhood Grill, a photo booth, dancing and a silent auction.

Tickets are on sale now through Nov. 2 and available from any of the Men In Pink. The Men In Pink are Jeff Melton (205-755-8473), Cliff Ward (205-928-5075), Terry Hinton (205-299-0332), Shane Ogle (205-217-3874) and Kendall Williams (205-351-2099).

D’Andrea described the night as an upscale celebration with Sunday or cocktail attire appropriate dress for the occasion.

Tickets are $35. Ticket sales go towards each man’s fundraising goal for the campaign.

Donations to Men In Pink can also be made at at relayforlife.org/chiltonmeninpinkal.

“All proceeds will go to the Chilton County Men In Pink campaign in support of the American Cancer Society’s Breast Cancer research, early detection and education,” D’Andrea said.

The American Cancer Society also provides support services to cancer patients, such as free real hair wigs and Road to Recovery resources.
