Five individuals were arrested on drug charges in a successful climax to a narcotics operation conducted by the Clanton Police Department on July 24.

Organized by CPD narcotics detective Sgt. David Bone, the operation kicked into gear with the traffic stop arrest of Rodreikius Octavius Dennis, who was found to be in possession of approximately 36 grams of methamphetamine.

Dennis is in the custody of the Chilton County Jail, where he faces charges for drug trafficking (two counts with $100,000 bond each), methamphetamine sale and distribution ($20,000 bond), possession of marijuana ($5,000 bond), possession of cocaine ($2,500 bond) and first-offense drug paraphernalia ($750 bond).

During Dennis’ arrest, officers executed a search warrant at a Fourth Avenue South address and recovered large quantities of methamphetamine, crack cocaine and marijuana, according to a CPD press release.

“Thanks to the hard work of CPD detectives and officers, these drugs will not be hitting our streets,” according to CPD.

Amira O’Bryan Caffee was arrested outside the residence and charged with possession of dangerous drugs ($2,500 bond), possession of methamphetamine ($2,500 bond), possession of marijuana ($2,500 bond) and first-offense drug paraphernalia ($750 bond).

Three individuals were arrested inside the house.

Miranda Lee Gwin and Jerome Harris Sr. were each charged with possession of methamphetamine ($2,500 bonds).

Jasmine Louise Terrell was charged with possession of dangerous drugs ($2,500 bond).

Caffee, Gwin, Harris and Terrell have since been released.
