Dollar General is building a new location in the Enterprise area.

The store will be located at 6127 County Road 24.

A basic frame for the building has been constructed and completion is expected before year’s end.

“At this time, a grand opening is slated for fall 2018, but understand that construction progress may alter this date,” Angela Petkovic, media contact for Dollar General, said.

Six to 10 employees are expected to be hired for this location. Applications are being accepted at www.dollargeneral.com/careers.

“When choosing store locations, meeting customers’ needs is Dollar General’s top priority,” Petkovic said. “The company looks for places where we can offer customers an easy and convenient shopping choice. We know convenience is a major factor in our customers’ shopping decisions as we generally serve customers within a three- to five-mile radius, or 10-minute drive. We also take demographic trends, competitive factors, traffic patterns and community concerns into consideration.”

As a corporation, Dollar General works to become an integral part of the communities where stores are located.

“Dollar General is deeply involved in the communities it serves and is an ardent supporter of literacy and education through the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, which awards grants each year to nonprofit organizations, schools and libraries within a 20-mile radius of a Dollar General store or distribution center to support adult, family, summer and youth literacy programs,” Petkovic said. “The Dollar General Literacy Foundation also supports individuals in the communities that Dollar General stores serve who may be interested in learning how to read, speak English or prepare for the high school equivalency test.”
