Shirlene Smith, 69, of Jemison, died Thursday, June 21, 2018.

She was born Monday, September 27, 1948, in Chilton County, Alabama, daughter of the late Tommie F. Morris and the late Willie Mae Cofer Morris.

She was an owner.

Surviving are daughter, Cheryle (David) Greene; son, Michael (Lynn) Payton; grandsons, Cory Green, Calab Greene and Zach Payton; granddaughters, Hope (JD) Lenoir, Summer Payton and Kimberly Payton; great-granddaughters, Chloe Greene and Madyson Lenoir; niece, Janice (Gene) Harris; step-son, Frankie (Marty) Smith; brothers, Roger (Sandra) Morris, Elwyn (Ruth) Morris and Robert (Annette) Morris; best friend, Brenda Nehauser; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Martice Morris and Pete Morris; sisters, Alma Killingsworth, Annie Mae Jones and Eva Oaks.

Friends were received from 5 – 7 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Martin Funeral Home.   Funeral Service were Monday, June 25, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Mars Hill Baptist Church with Rev. William Short officiating.  Interment followed in Mars Hill Baptist Cemetery, Jemison, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that you make a donations to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
