A car show is returning to the Peach Festival this year, hosted by the Chilton County Cruisers.

“We used to do our car show years and years ago in the fall, and then moved to the Peach Festival,” Gary McGuire of the CC Cruisers said.

The event was not held last year, and McGuire said several people said they would like to see it return.

The Cruise in Car Show will be held June 30 in Clanton City Park, 509 Park Drive.

It will begin immediately following the Peach Parade, usually 10 a.m. and go until 1 p.m.

Anyone with a vintage car or motorcycle is welcome to participate. McGuire said the event will be free for those participating and those attending.

“I believe we will have a good turnout a lot of people have contacted me about it,” McGuire said.

He said a military vintage car club will also be bringing several vehicles to the event.

While registration is not required for the car show, those wanting to participate in the parade will need to be there early enough to register or contact McGuire ahead of time.

McGuire said he enjoys participating in events like this because it gives him a chance to show others his vehicles and talk to people.
