Chilton County Physical Therapy has been operating in Chilton County for the past five years.

Up until this year, CCPT rented space at the YMCA of Chilton County. Now, the business has expanded and set up shop at St. Vincent’s Chilton.

CCPT hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new location on May 15.

“We started growing and needed some more space,” said Katie Kinne, who co-owns CCPT with her husband. “This felt like a pretty good fit for us. We moved in here Jan. 2 of this year. Now, I’ve got enough time to know which way is up and start organizing some things.”

Kinne does double duty at the business.

“I am the clinic director here at CCPT,” she said. “My job specifically is I’m a treating therapist. I treat a full load of patients, and I manage the day in and day out responsibilities of running the clinic.”

Kinne and her staff offer a wide assortment of services and can help with many different medical issues.

“We offer outpatient physical therapy for a range of orthopedic issues,” Kinne said. “We see a lot of postoperative patients with things like total joint replacements, rotator cuffs, spine (issues) and neurological disorders. We go from children up until late stages of life. We help people who have had strokes and some who have had heart attacks. We run the gamut here. We try to hit a little bit of everything we can to offer the community.”

CCPT offers other services that include things like helping with balance due to issues like dizziness or vertigo.

Kinne said moving to St. Vincent’s has helped out CCPT.

“I feel like it’s a huge blessing to work with St. Vincent’s Chilton and rent space here,” she said. “It has been really wonderful. Everybody here has been so friendly and welcoming. It’s really nice to be able to pull from their resources, really. That really helps us offer great care for patients. This space is nice, large and state of the art.”
