G.R.A.C.E.’s Marina is hosting a free movie night on the water May 26, beginning at 8 p.m.

All proceeds from donations, dinner and ticket purchases for two give-away items will benefit the Raleigh’s Place foster ministry Camp 1:27.

Slices of pizza from The People’s Pie Company will be sold for $3 per slice or $10 for a full pizza.

Host and G.R.A.C.E. Marina affiliate Andrew George said a large screen will be positioned at the edge of the water, projecting the classic, suspense film “Jaws.”

“They can sit in the water if they’re brave enough, or they can set up a chair in the yard,” George said. “We’ll have enough space, so people can tie up their boats to the pier, if they want.”

Popcorn will be provided at no cost.

George said it is his first time to host such an event.

“I was just trying to come up with an original idea for a fundraiser to do,” he said. “I wanted to do something different to get more people involved.”

G.R.A.C.E.’s Marina is located on Lake Mitchell at 15396 County Road 59 Annex in Verbena.
