A motorcycle accident on the Interstate 65, Exit 208 southbound ramp has claimed one life.

The accident occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. on April 20.

Clanton Police Department responded to the scene.

“Once on the scene, it was determined that the accident was a single-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle,” Capt. David Clackley said. “The driver was the only rider and sustained fatal injuries and passed away on the scene.”

The vehicle failed to make the turn, and speed is thought to be a factor.

The name of the driver is not being released at this time.
