Gary E. Martin

Gary E. Martin, 54, of Thorsby, died Monday, March 26, 2018 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born on Tuesday, Jan 28, 1964 in Clanton. He was born the son of Walter Eugene Martin and Audrey Lee Chancellor Cleckler.

He was a diesel mechanic.

Surviving are his loving wife of 36 years, Terri Martin of Thorsby; Sons: Walter Allan (Heather) Martin of Jemison, Gary Adam (Candace) Martin of Randolph; Sterling Alexander “Sam” (Brittany Harris) Martin of Thorsby; Grandchildren: Adam James “AJ” Martin, Abbygail Lyn Martin, Alivia Lee Martin, Allee Rebecca Martin; Brother, Bobby (Tina) Martin of Clanton;  Sisters: Debra Carter of Clanton, Diane (Billy) Littleton of Billingsley; a host of nieces and nephews, and his sidekick Rocco.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Eugene Martin; mother, Audrey Lee Cleckler; sister, Teresa Ann “Tricky” Kirkland; brother, Michael “Mike” Eugene Martin.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Martin Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. at Thorsby Memory Cemetery.

Interment will follow in Thorsby Memorial Cemetery.
