The Chilton County Tigers picked up win No. 10 of the season March 15 with a 10-1 victory over the visiting McAdory Yellow Jackets to improve to 10-5 on the season.

A two-out double by Brodie Mann in the top of the first inning would be of little help for the Yellow Jackets, while a leadoff single by Tucker Price in the home half of the inning would set up a RBI double by Riley Thornton that would give the Tigers an early 1-0 lead.

Carl Pollet would start the top of the second off with a walk for the Yellow Jackets, but three consecutive strikeouts by Tiger pitcher Landon Simmons would bring the half inning to a close with no runs to show for the visitors.

A walk by Gabe Gray and a single by Simmons to start the home half of the second would lead to a two-RBI triple by Cade Minor that would extend the Chilton advantage to three after two innings of play.

A pair of two-out singles by the Yellow Jackets in the top of the third would bring no points to the visiting side after an infield ground ball would retire the side. The Tigers, on the other hand, would continue their scoring trend and add three more runs in the home half of the inning.

A single by Jarrett Ricks, along with a double by Simmons, would set up a two-RBI double by Pico Kohn. The Tigers would take a 6-0 lead after three innings of play with Kohn later scoring on a McAdory error.

With the fourth inning coming and going with no change in the score, the Yellow Jackets would break the shut out in the top of the fifth thanks to a leadoff single by Preston Kendrick that would later see him come around to score to make it 6-1.

The Tigers would answer the Yellow Jacket score with a few more runs of their own during the home half of the fifth. Kohn would get things started with a leadoff single. Price would follow with another single for the Tigers followed by a RBI single from Minor. A two-RBI double by Cameron Baker, along with a sacrifice fly by Ricks, would give Chilton four runs in the inning while making the score 10-1 in favor of the Tigers.

The Tigers would go on to a 10-1 win over McAdory with the Yellow Jackets unable to cut into the Chilton lead during the sixth and seventh innings.

Simmons got the start on the mound for the Tigers and threw four and one third innings allowing one earned run on five hits with four walks and five strikeouts. Minor lead Chilton at the plate with a 2 for 4 performance with a single, a triple and three RBIs.
